Education Program
We
provide public education to enable Monterey County residents to locate community
resources to address their housing concerns. While we target low-income
individuals, our workshops are open to all county residents with no income
restrictions.

Tenant education workshops are available to
low-income individuals. Topics covered include: tenant rights and
responsibilities, finding a unit, the application process, rental agreements,
eviction notices, and credit reports. |

Tenant education is also provided on a
1:1 basis for those in crisis. |

Comprehensive financial literacy workshops
are available to low-income individuals. Topics covered include: budgeting,
saving, and credit repair. |

We publish a quarterly newsletter to keep
the community up-to-date on homelessness in Monterey County, our services,
upcoming events, staff additions, and volunteer opportunities. Get on our

Provides information on housing and related
services (disaster assistance, homeless prevention, homeownership, legal
services, rental programs, etc.) that are available in Monterey County.
Directory may be purchased for $7.50. |

The goal of this directory is to provide a
better form of communication and coordination of local services in a timely
manner; to connect a homeless person with available services to ultimately help
that person achieve self-sufficiency. Directory may be purchased by agencies for
